  1. Pretty slick. This works for me. Maybe we can clarify the amount of soup we are exchanging. The description from Kate said "sandwich ziplock"... I'm thinking either multiple quart-size bags or 1 gallon-size.

  2. take a look. i added servings to the list. i just said enough for 6 servings and a serving would be 1 c. how you choose to package it is up to you. :)

but i do agree with you, jodie, a gallon size or a couple of quart bags would work well.

  3. Sorry if this is a repeat but I didn't notice my post being posted...
I'm good with the size/portion increase.
Need to change to beef stew. I'm not finding the amt or quality of lamb I was desiring.

  4. Ooops I made 4 cups per family which seems ample but I can make another batch if needs be.

  5. kate, 4 cups is probably ample. we were just thinking that most adults will most likely eat 1.5 cups which then only leaves 1 c. to divy among the children. for my family this is fine, for those with more kids maybe not.

BUT as i think some more it may all depend on the type of soup. a thin soup you'd probably eat more whereas with a thicker soup (chili, stews, etc.) you'll probably eat less. i don't know. whatever. whatever works best for all of you.
